This school takes hands-on teaching to a whole new level, operating their own restaurant right on the school campus. This restaurant is run and organized by the culinary students, and is open to the public. The operating days for this 50 seat restaurant are Monday through Friday. They serve a three-course lunch and a four-course dinner for the public, as well as for the students to enjoy.

The Oregon Culinary Institute is a private school devoted to sustainable cooking by using local ingredients and vendors. The Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, U.S Department of Education, and the Oregon Office of Degree Authorization has accredited them.
